Featured social enterprise — Youth Trip (YTrip–Kilalanin ang Pilipinas)

August 5, 2008

YTRiP or Youth Trip is a Philippine-based youth-led non-government organization promoting sustainable local tourism and responsible travel to develop love for country, heritage, and everything else Pinoy.

Founded in 2006, YTRiP believes that tourism is not just physical movement from one place to the next but the shift from one mindset to another.

Guided by Geotourism and its love for the Philippines – YTRiP recognizes travel as a form of response and exercise of socio-economic power.

YTRip’s programs are set to encourage and enable more Filipinos to travel locally, to seek meaningful experiences, and to support Pinoy products and communities. With PILI-PINAS (Choose Philippines), YTriP-ers hope to enrich and take care of the places they visit and live in, at the same time, enrich our experiences and way of life.
