Contest teaches students how to be entrepreneurs

CEBU CITY, Philippines - Encouraging students to “employ themselves” after graduation is one of the career options raised by Mandaue businessmen with the staging of the business plan competition, My Business Idol.

Wilson Ng, president of Ng Khai Development Corp., said My Business Idol is a way of telling students that “it does not automatically mean that you have to look for a job after graduation.”

He told students to be open to different possibilities.

“In business, if you don’t try, you automatically lose,” said Ng, also an active member of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).

MCCI is celebrating Mandaue Business Month (MBM) this August with a lineup of different activities.

My Business Idol promotes the entrepreneurial talent of students.
