Aside from its offering of the Master in Communication Management (MCM) and Master in Journalism (MJ) programs, the Institute also provides professional training. Training courses cover specialized areas in journalism, communication, and knowledge management.

AIJC, a non-stock and non-profit organization, is committed to harness the power of communication in promoting the common good.
It seeks to accomplish this through advanced learning, research, and innovation, primarily among journalism, communication and knowledge management professionals in Asia, for empowered and responsible leadership in the industry and society.

The ICT for Development (ICT4D) Unit of AIJC promotes the strategic use of ICT in various human development endeavors. Program areas include content development, capability-building, and research focused on the impact of ICT on the socio-cultural, economic and political dimensions of society.
