CamSur gov is TOYP awardee

The Jaycees International recently named Camarines Sur governor, Luis “Lray” Villafuerte Jr. as one of the 2008 TOYP awardees. 

Cited for his business, economic or entrepreneurial accomplishments, Villafuerte became the only Filipino among 10 young men to receive the prestigious international award this year.

The awardees had to undergo a rigorous screening and evaluation process from among 126 nominees from 46 countries and international organizations by a panel of judges.

Since taking over the reign of the Camarines Sur provincial government in 2004, Villafuerte has introduced measures to promote the province using entrepreneurship as a cornerstone, especially in tourism and technology.
