ECHOstore Sustainable Lifestyle introduces ECHOteach, a new mentoring program of public lectures and seminars focusing on the three principles the store stands for—the self, community enterprises and development, and environmental issues. The monthly series, each one highlighting a theme, begins this January.
Exploring inner awareness and wellness this month, ECHOteach debuts with lectures on angels, aromatherapy, and personal and environmental wellness. Angel Reader Nonoy Ozaeta tackles questions like Are angels real? What do they do to us? How can we communicate with them? Nonoy has been a practicing architect since 1983 and is now a faculty member of the UP College of Architecture. But he also leads another life as an angel counselor where he acts as a channel or medium between people and their guiding angels, a vocation he has been undertaking since 1993 when he first saw and experienced his own guiding angel. His introductory lecture ARE YOU MY ANGEL? is on January 20, while HAVING IT ALL WITH YOUR ANGEL on January 27 helps you understand abundance, and how you can work with your angel to bring it into your life. Both lectures are at 9:30 am.
Husband and wife team Dr. Mike and Cathy Turvill, owners of Nurture Spa in Tagaytay, brings to ECHOstore their knowledge of the wellness industry. Dr. Mike Turvill has a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Nottingham in the UK, and is a Chartered Chemist and a member of the British Royal Society of Chemistry. He has been living in Asia for almost 14 years, and studied Aromatheraphy (International Therapy Examination Council or ITEC Syllabus) in Singapore. He is presently the CEO of Nurture Spa and President of Spa Essentials. On January 21 at 6 p.m., Dr. Turvill will talk on THE MAGIC OF AROMATHERAPY, focusing on essential oils and plant extracts used for emotional and physical well being, and helping participants distinguish between real and synthetic oils.
Dr. Turvill’s wife, Cathy Brillantes-Turvill, spent 25 years in training and human resources development until she moved into the wellness industry as an internationally licensed Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) therapist and finishing a Spa Management Course from Cornell University. She has been active in the region after founding the Spa Association of the Philippines. Her talk on PERSONAL & ENVIRONMENTAL WELLNESS is on January 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. The talk focuses on understanding the need to achieve personal and environmental wellness and how to incorporate wellness into our daily lives.
All seminars will be held at ECHOstore at the ground floor of Serendra Piazza, Bonifacio Global City. All seminar fees are inclusive of snacks.
