MANILA, Philippines – The worst is over for the family of Antonia Marina “Tara” Santelices, who has recovered from her comatose state and the gunshot wound she sustained in a botched jeepney robbery last year – but their troubles remain.
The family is in need of P1.8 million to pay their bills at Medical City, where Santelices has been confined since August, according to an e-mail circulating among her friends and schoolmates who want to help her.
