Floy Quintos, award-winning television and cinema writer and director, talks at Why Not? Forum 6.0 held at the Alchemy, April 25. The acclaimed culturati shares his thoughts on Philippine media and the need for action in the mainstream to effectuate societal change.



“I really feel that the great change in Philippine television will come when you turn 40,” said Quintos referring to the mostly 20-something audience.

Quintos is one of six guest speakers at the forum who hail from diverse backgrounds. They all ask the same question, “Why Not?” to inspire and promote Filipino ingenuity.

The other speakers were:
Anton Diaz of OurAwesomePlanet, Bong Rojales of LomoManila, Gabby Dizon of Flipside Games, Phil Cahiwat of Level up for Gamers, and Rej Layug of New Worlds Alliance.

The speakers are joined by several social organizations, dubbed by WhyNot? as “tribes”:
