Jersey City’s Filipino community holds 19th annual Friendship Day Parade and Festival

Jersey City’s Filipino community took full advantage of a sunny Sunday to hold and enjoy the 19th annual Philippine-American Friendship Day Parade and Festival. The event is held to honor the 61-year friendship between the United States and the Philippines.

This year’s event started with an 8 a.m. Mass at St. Bridget’s at Montgomery and Brunswick streets and was followed by the parade with a line of march from Plaza Rizal to Exchange Place. In the past the parade started at McGinley Square.
